特 徴：
（属）：背鰭基底は臀鰭基底とほぼ同長。尾鰭前発光器は4個。尾柄部発光腺はない。第1〜2胸鰭下発光器と第1胸部発光器は一直線をなす。第4胸部発光器は著しく高位。第2〜3腹部発光器は漸進的に高位となる。胸鰭上発光器に発光鱗がある。（種）：眼下発光器と眼前上部発光器はない。鼻部背側発光器は丸く，前方を向いており，その大きさは体側の発光器とほぼ等しい（図）。鼻部腹側発光器は長円形で，眼窩の前腹縁部にある。腹鰭上発光器は側線と腹鰭基底の中間かそれより幾分高位。第3肛門上発光器と体側後部発光器は側線から下方に発光器2〜3個分だけ離れている。第1肛門上発光器は第5腹鰭発光器より高位。
分 布：
大西洋の温帯〜熱帯水域。模式産地-中部大西洋。
備 考：
本種は大陸棚周辺に生息するのでリクダナハダカと名づけた。（藤井）
Distinctive characters：
(Genus)：Base of dorsal fin about equal to that of anal. Four Prc. Caudal luminous gland absent. PVO in line with PO1. Five PO, PO4 highly elevated. Five VO, VO2〜3 progressively elevated. A luminous scale at PLO. (Species)：Both So and Ant absent. Dn round, directed forward; its size about equal to body photophore (Fig.). Vn oval, occupying antero-ventral border of orbit. VLO midway between lateral line and base of pelvic fin or somewhat higher. SAO3 and Pol 2〜3 times their diameters below lateral line. SAO1 above level of VO5.
Distribution：
Temperate to tropical waters of Atlantic Ocean. Type locality-middle Atlantic. (Fujii)
