Dorsal surface of carapace studded with eight tubercles which are formed by several granules and arranged symmetrically; posterior three, viz two on posterior branchial region of each side and one on cardiac region, are distinctly ridged. Front well developed, with pinhole erosion along its margin. Anterolateral border of carapace cut into four teeth, each of which is composed of a median larger tubercle and two accessory ones each at anterior end of posterior slopes; angle made by antero- and posterolateral borders is produced to be a strong tooth. Anterior part of posterolateral border of carapace consists of two rows of large, somewhat scaly granules; a distinct angle near the base of posterior border of carapace. Granules on outer surfaces of cheliped carpus and palm pronounced. Ambulatory legs long; lower border of each propodus of first two pairs and dactyli of all pairs thickly pubescent.
