Carapace rather narrow and wholly covered with granules of variable size; larger granules of worn-out appearance especially on anterior half of carapace; a longitudinal furrow originated from postorbital part along gastric, cardiac and intestinal regions to lateral end of posterior border of carapace. Anterolateral border of carapace arched and finely granulate, with about five small teeth posteriorly; posterolateral wing not much developed, being cut into four along anterior border and three along posterior border; last two of anterior border subequal, and posterior of them forms posterolateral angle of carapace; lateral end of posterior border of carapace thick and weakly angulated. Submarginal fringe of merus of cheliped cut into four teeth, distal one of which is sharp and nearly equal to that of proximal part of palm. Outer surface of palm covered with somewhat scaly granules of various size. Tubercles on fingers chracteristic for Calappa well developed.
