Height 62 mm, breadth 30 mm. Shell very thin, regularly fusifom, with an obsolete peripheral angle. Shell reddish amber in color, with an reversed S-shaped growth lines above the peripheral angle and weak but crowded spiral cords below. Aperture very wide without operculum. Outer lip very thin, curving in gentle sigmoidal, with the posterior end situated a little below the peripheral angle of the penultimate whorl. Columellar lip also gently curved and continuous to open canal. Radula of toxoglossate, simple tooth but with a sharp knob proximally.
Distribution:
Curaçao and off Suriname. Shelf to bathyal.
Remarks:
This species was originally placed in Pleurotomella, but the radular character proved that this species is very close to Japanese Thatcheria mirabilis.
