Height 58 mm, breadth 19 mm. Shell solid, rather thin, with turreted spires of 9─10 whorls. Whorls with oblique and thick axial ridges, 14 on the penultimate whorl, below the shoulder, overridden by 7─8 slender spiral ribs, constricted below the suture where being smooth or only with growth lines and weak spiral lirae. Basal body whorl with a dozen of spiral cords. Shell pure white with straw-colored periostracum which stripped off at the base. Aperture narrow, fusiform. Outer lip thin, with a shallow sinus above. Siphonal canal widely open. Operculum horny, leaf-shaped. Radula of toxoglossate type, lanceolate, with strongly curved distal portion.
Distribution:
Gulf of Mexico, off Cuba and Suriname. Slope to bathyal.
Remarks:
The general characters recall the North Pacific C. takeokensis.
