Height 159 mm, breadth 52 mm. Shell thick, solid, spindle-shaped, with a rather short siphonal canal. Spires with 12〜14 axial ridges overridden by some 10 sharp spiral cords among which on the shoulder particularly prominent forming a crescent ridge. More spiral cords on the base with many secondary ones. Aperture oval. Outer lip finely crenulated, with many spiral ridges inside. Callus deposited over inner to columellar lips. Siphonal canal usually straight but sometimes curved, relatively widely open. Radula of rachiglossate type; central trapezoid, with bifurcated central cusp and one cusp each on both sides; lateral wide comb-shaped with 1 small cusp on the inner edge and 9 larger cusps distally.

Venezuela, Brazil and Suriname.
Remarks:
The larger size and shorter canal make this species eseparable from the preceding species. Radular characters are also different from each other.
