Height 64 mm, breadth 64 mm. Shell fusiform, thick, heavy. Surface with thick, round axial ridges, 7-8 per whorl, overridden by sharp, equally spaced 10-11 spiral ribs. Base with several more cords and neck from the base to fasciole very thick. Aperture relatively small, oval, with thick outerlip carrying 10 spiral ribs within, uppermost one forms posterior sulcus with callus knob on the inner lip. Three weak columellar folds present. Siphonal canal thick, moderately long. Surface reddish brown with a thick periostracum. Operculum horny.
Remarks:
This species is almost identifiable to L. infundibulum, but somewhat slenderer than typical specimen.
