特 徴：
殻高47mm，殻径29mm。殻は卵円形で中扁に厚い。各層よくふくれ特に体層は大きい。各層に10本内外，体層に約30本の角張った螺肋をめぐらし，肋間の幅は肋の幅とほぼ同じ。但し縫合下は少し凹み例外的に肋は細く鈍い肩が作られている。殻は僅かに黄味がかった白色で，わら色の殻皮を被っている。殻口は広く卵形で広く外唇は滑らか。軸唇に沿って白い滑層が被いその外縁部はいぶし銀様の光沢を帯びる。蓋は楕円に近く，核は前位。
採集記録：
水深368〜379m（生貝3，死殻1）。
分 布：
ノースカロライナ〜小アンチルス。スリナム沖。西アフリカ沿岸の陸棚斜面。
Diagnostic characters：
Height 47 mm, breadth 29 mm. Shell ovoidal and moderately thick, with low spires and large body whorl. Spiral ribs about 10 on the upper whorls and about 30 on the body whorl, with subequal width to that of inter-rib groove except in subsutural area where ribs slenderer and concave forming an indistinct shoulder. Surface pale yellowish white with a thin periostracum. Aperture oval with smooth outer lip. Columellar lip with white callus margined by oxidized silverly hue. Operculum elliptical with nuculeus anteriorly.
Distribution：
North Carolina to the Lesser Antilles and off Suriname. Lower shelf to slope.
