Height 190 mm, breadth 130 mm. Shell globular, thin, light. Spires low but body whorl very large. Protoconch large and dark brown. Teleoconch with broad and low spiral ribs, about 20 on the body whorl, with irregular secondary ribs. Fasciole distinct, with open umbilicus. Aperture broad with somewhat thickened outer lip. Columellar lip with callus and an indistinct fold. Lack of operculum. Radula of taenioglossate type; central with serrated large central cusp with 2 lateral cups on both sides; lateral slender with denticles inside; both marginals simple.
