Eyestalk slender, but distinctly shorter than anterior breadth of carapace, cornea tapers anteriorly to a blunt point; ophthalmic scale broad at base, inner part being produced forward to a simply pointed process which reaches slightly beyond base of eyestalk. Antennular peduncle reaches beyond eyestalk with about half the length of last segment, and antennal peduncle reaches only slightly beyond eyestalk; scaphocerite bearing two or three spines on its inner margin. Chelipeds equal and thickly covered with long soft hairs; carpus with two longitudinal rows of strong spines; upper margin of palm with a row of five strong spines, and outer surface of palm smooth except for three or four longitudinal rows of tubercles; similar tubercles also on fingers. Ambulatory legs long and markedly hairy; in anterior margin of second leg merus with some tubercles, carpus with a row of spines and propodus with a row of about four spines on proximal half.
