Most typically inhabiting Conus shells, and thus the body is strongly flattened, but the small specimens are often found in some other kinds of gastropods and of normal type. Anterior shield of carapace roughened by transverse wrinkle; rostrum narrow, sharp and only slightly extended beyond subacute lateral angle. Eyestalk slender, very weakly widening distally; ophthalmic scale with two or three spinules at its tip. Antennular peduncle reaches near the base of cornea, and antennal peduncle just half way of eyestalk. Scaphocerite with two spines each on distal half of outer margin and proximal half of inner margin. Chelipeds equal; dorsal surface of merus somewhat scaly, with transverse short ridges; inner margins of carpus and palm in situ armed with some spiniform granules; carpus, palm and fingers thickly covered with minute granules; outline of palm and fingers triangular as a whole, being broad at base and regularly tapering toward tips of fingers. A sinuate linear furrow on upper surface of each carpus of ambulatory legs; propodus of left first ambulatory leg markedly twisted.
