Anterior shield of carapace longer than broad; several minute, sharp granules on its anterolateral part of each side, some of them being arranged in two or three transverse rows. Rostrum narrowly extended forward, sharply pointed, and reaching to median part of ophthalmic scale. Eyestalk also slender; ophthalmic scale broad at base, its inner half being anteriorly produced to a simple sharply pointed triangle; antennal peduncle about as long as eyestalk, and antennal peduncle reaches slightly beyond two-thirds the length of eyestalk. Scaphocerite armed with three spines on outer margin, and with two or three on its basal upper part; last segment of antennal peduncle with two spines on basal part of outer margin. Chelipeds not so heavy, being covered with sparse short soft hairs and with thick small granules; on margins the granules are sharper, and especially three or four on inner margins (in situ) of chelipeds are distinctly spiniform; lower margin of palm and immovable finger very convex. Ambulatory legs fringed with hairs; anterior margins of carpus and propoduseach with some spinules.
