A rather small species, having a long rostrum with about twice as long as carapace. Carapace without furrow, only with large antennal and small branchiostegal spines; dorsal carina of carapace vanished at median part, with a protuberance near posterior border of carapace. Rostrum narrow and directed obliquely upward; 40-60 spiniform teeth on upper margin, and 30-40 on lower margin; number of spines variable as individuals and age. Pereiopods markedly slender; carpus of second pair subdivided into 20-25 segments. First three abdominal segments rather depressed, and suddenly tapering; the sixth about twice as long as the fifth. Telson narrow and long.
