Height 59 mm, breadth 27 mm. Shell solid, biconic, with granulated earlier whorls and smooth and rather concave later whorls. Body whorl with rectangular shoulder, with 2─3 spiral cords above, smooth wall, several weak spiral grooves basally. Surface smooth, white with irregular brown maculations. Apertural lip thin with a feeble posterior sinus.
Distribution:
Southeast Florida, Yucatan and off Suriname.
Remarks:
This species somewhat resembles the Eastern Pacific C. poormani, but the former has a little higher spires.
