Height 43 mm, breadth 23 mm. Shell solid, biconic, with granulated spires apically becoming smooth abapically. Weak spiral striae and growth lines are emphasized by periostracum. Body whorl with rectangularly or obtusely angulated shoulder and with 20 or more spaced spiral cords that feebly granulated. Surface white, dull, with rather thick periostracum. Apertural lip very thin.
Distribution:
Southeast Florida, Carribean Seas to Brazil.
Remarks:
This species resembles the Western Pacific C. sulcatus in sculpture, but the former is much obeser than the latter.
