Mantle 3.5 cm long, short, saccular, about 3/4 as wide as long. Fins oval, laterally placed. Arm moderately long, with enlarged suckers in the middle in male. Left dorsal arm in male hectocotylized, with 7 pairs of normal suckers proximally followed by 4 pairs of suckers of reduced size. A broad lateral membrane presents ventrally and proximally. Tentacular club with dorsal membrane, with 6〜7 rows of suckers of which dorsalmost ones twice larger than the ventral ones. Color pale.
Distribution:
Northeast and Northwest Atlantic. From New England to Florida, Gulf of Mexico, Caribbean Sea, Suriname and Brazil.
Remarks:
This is a wide ranged species characterized by its small size and soft body.
