Characteristic in having a rectangular black patch on second abdominal somite and a dark circle on either side of crest of telson. Carapace widens posteriorly, being armed with a spine at anterolateral angle; all carinae present, but not so strong, the median being not bifurcate anteriorly. Rostral plate oblong and slightly squarich. Lateral process of fifth thoracic somite acute and curved forward; that of sixth somite bilobed, and anterior lobe angulated or rather sharp, and posterior lobe directed posteriorly. Six carinae on abdominal somites; the submedian ends in a spine at fifth and sixth somites, the intermediate at third to sixth somites, and the lateral at first to sixth somites; lateral border of abdomen ends in a spine at first to fifth segments. Telson only with a median high crest, and with a prelateral lobe at each side; denticular formula with 2-3, 8-10, 1. Raptorial dactylus with six sharp spines, with outer margin of a simple curve.
