ヒラヨツハオウギガニ

特 徴：
甲幅2.5cm。甲面はほとんど滑らかで，ごく浅いへこみがあるが，甲域は不明瞭。甲面はあまり湾曲せず，額と甲の前側縁はやや板状である。額はほとんどまっすぐに切断された形で，中央の切れ込みは痕跡的。眼窩は小さく，上縁の内角は不明瞭で，額からは背中側の位置でごく浅く分けられている。眼窩外歯も低く，甲の前側縁からごく浅く分けられているにすぎない。前側縁の第1歯はごく低く盛り上がっているだけで，第2歯から浅く分けられている。第2歯の前端はやや角ばっている。外縁は長く，わずかに湾曲して第3歯に連絡している。第3歯は斜め外，上方を向いてとがっている。はさみ脚はほとんど滑らかで，大きく，左右で大きさを異にする。腕節の内角には鈍頭の突起がある。不動指は掌部に対して曲っている。歩脚は長い。
採集記録：
水深150m（2♂♂）。
分 布：
従来の記録は，アメリカ・ノースカロライナ州沖，フロリダ半島沿岸，キューバ，グレナダ，ブラジル・フレオ岬の水深25〜460m。
Diagnostic characters：
Carapace narrowly ovate, convex fore and aft, smooth, without indication of areolae. Front nearly truncated, bearing a faint indication of median notch. Supraorbital and external orbital angles not distinct, being shallowly separated from front and first anterolateral tooth, respectively. First anterolateral tooth faintly demarcated; the second obtusely angulated anteriorly, with a very short anterior and a long, slightly convex posterior borders; last tooth rather tuberculated and directed obliquely and upward. Chelipeds strong, unequal and smooth; inner angle of carpus obtusely angulated; fingers long and deflexed. Ambulatory legs slender and unarmed.
Distribution：
Previously known from North Carolina, off Florida, Grenada and off Cape Frio, Brazil, 25-460 m deep.
