Carapace narrowly ovate, convex fore and aft, smooth, without indication of areolae. Front nearly truncated, bearing a faint indication of median notch. Supraorbital and external orbital angles not distinct, being shallowly separated from front and first anterolateral tooth, respectively. First anterolateral tooth faintly demarcated; the second obtusely angulated anteriorly, with a very short anterior and a long, slightly convex posterior borders; last tooth rather tuberculated and directed obliquely and upward. Chelipeds strong, unequal and smooth; inner angle of carpus obtusely angulated; fingers long and deflexed. Ambulatory legs slender and unarmed.

Previously known from North Carolina, off Florida, Grenada and off Cape Frio, Brazil, 25-460 m deep.
