Carapace rather quadrate in its outline, with dorsal surface ill-defined and uniformly roughened by microscopical pits and granules. Front rather thick and cut into two truncated lobes by a median notch. Supraorbital border not raised, but demarcated by marginal line. First anterolateral tooth obliquely truncated; the second trianglar and the third tuberculated; no delimitation between outer border of third tooth and posterolateral border of carapace; thus posterolateral border as a whole about twice the length of anterolateral border. Chelipeds heavy and unqual; subterminal tooth of upper border of merus distinctly spiniform, and inner angle of carpus tuberculated. A longitudinal shallow furrow and granulated ridge on outer upper and lower surfaces of palm, respectively. Fingers deflexed in large male.
