Carapace subcircular, with convex branchial regions; dorsal surface uneven, with a pair of submedian, longitudinal shallow furrows, being rather sparsely covered with tuberculated granules of good size; four median, one protogastric, four or five branchial dorsal and four or five marginal tubercles, and one at each lateral end of posterior border of carapace are fairly prominent, and especially one of branchial dorsal tubercles on posterolateral part is distinctly spiniform and directed obliquely backward. Dorsal surface of frontal region deeply sunken between orbits of both sides; rostral median tooth well developed as a spine and directed obliquely downward. Chelipeds very long, slender and bordered by conical teeth of large and small size. Ambulatory legs long. Second abdominal segment markedly trilobate, and penultimate segment with a transverse low crest.
