Carapace rather depressed; a ridge running posteriorly from hepatic spine, from which another ridge runns obliquely downward and then longitudinally toward branchial region; antennal spine directed obliquely forward and upward, and followed by a ridge toward median part of carapace; branchiostegal spine strong, directed forward and curved obliquely upward; a ridge from branchiostegal spine extended back to lower part of hepatic spine. Rostrum small, but followed by a remarkably strong spiniform, compressed tubercle directed obliquely upward; behind it is a small epigastric spine, and at each side a spine followed by short ridge; a spine at posterior oni-third of median ridge. First pereiopod stout and subchelate as usual; second and third pairs filiform, the second having a small chela. Second to fifth abdominal segments with a median obtuse ridge; sixth segment with two submedian ridges, with median part deeply concave.
