Specimen examined：1 (SL 116.5 mm). Depth：830 m.
Counts and measurements：D 5; A 5; P1 17; C 8. Premaxillary teeth (left side) 17; dentary teeth (left said) 17 (internal series)+10 (median)+2 (external), total 29. Illicial length 247+％ of SL; caudal peduncle depth 6.0; caudal peduncle length 32.8; longest premaxillary tooth 1.0; longest dentary tooth 1.6; longest caudal ray (7th) 36.1.
特 徴：
（種）： 誘引突起の長さは標準体長の200％以上。歯骨歯は短く，3列をなす。尾鰭の第2と第7鰭条が著しく伸長することはない。
分 布：
大西洋，北太平洋の中部および東部。模式産地─31°47’N, 41°41’W。
備 考：
本標本では，誘引突起の先端部が破損して無くなっているために，擬餌状体は観察できなかった。しかし，その他の形質に関しては，本標本は Birtelsen, Pietsch, and Lavenberg（1981）による G. macronema の記載とよく一致した。 （藤井）
Distinctive characters：
(Species)：Illicial length more than 200％ of SL. Dentary teeth short, in three rows. Second and 7th rays of caudal fin not extremely prolonged.
Distribution：
Atlantic, and central and eastern North Pacific. Type locality─31°47’N, 41°41’W.
Remarks：
In the present specimen, the esca could not be observed, because the distal part of the illicium was broken and missing. However, the other characters of the present specimen well agreed with the description of G. macronema by Bertelsen, Pietsch, and Lavenberg(1981). (Fujii)
