特 徴：
殻長53mm，殻高45mm，殻幅37mm。ハマグリ型で，左右よくふくれ，内外共に純白。殻頂は小さく前傾，前縁は鈍くとがる。腹縁は円満で，後縁は微かに截断状になるため，後腹縁はやや角張る。小月面は細い溝で区切られ明らかである。表面には規則的な成長脉が密にあり滑らかではない。?装は中庸で，右の前側歯は大きく左殻の大きい歯槽に合う。左殻の主歯も大きい。右殻の後側歯は二分している。外套湾入深く明瞭。腹縁は刻まれない。
採集記録：
水深50〜76m（生貝多数）。

西インド諸島，スリナム沖。
Diagnostic characters：
Length 53 mm, height 45 mm, breadth 37 mm. Shell solid, inflated, veneroid, pure white externally and internally. Beaks small, prosocline. Lunule distinct. Anterior margin slightly angulated, continuous to gentle ventral margin and then slightly truncated posterior margin. Surface with crowded growth lirae. Right valve with strong anterior and bifurcarted posterior lateral teeth. Left valve with strong cardinal tooth. Pallial sinus deep and distinct. Ventral margin smooth.
