Length 28 mm, height 15 mm, beadth 10 mm. Shell elongate, with rostrate posterior portion. Beaks small, 1/3 anteriorly, slightly inclined anteriorly. Anterior to ventral margins gently curved. Dorsal margin nearly straight or slightly concave, meeting with the posterior margin in a sharp point. Lunule narrow and escutcheon also narrow, demarcated with sharp, slender ridges, with external ligament. Surface white with thick olive-colored periostracum on which present black spots in rather younger shells. Interior pale white. Cardinal armature taxodont. Chondrophore small. Pallial sinus shallow.
Distribution:
Off Suriname. Slope to bathyal.
Remarks:
This species resembles Western Pacific P. japonica in general outline.
