Carapace and abdomen compressed moderately and strongly, respectively, with an oblique branchio-cardiac carina; a very deep linear furrow from strong branchiostegal spine. Rostrum as long as, or slightly longer than carapace, distinctly curving upward at its median part; four to six close-set teeth on dorsal margin at level of orbit, increasing their sizes distally; on lower margin is a strong tooth near median part. Second to sixth abdominal segments strongly crested dorsally, with a terminal spine each on posterior four segments. Telson rather constricted medially and rapidly narrowing posteriorly, with three pairs of movable spines on its dorsal surface.
