(Family):Body strongly depressed. Caudal fin lacking well-defined lower lobe. Two dorsal fins located on fairly backward of tail. (Genus):Characters are those of family. (Species):Tip of snout with a pair of small tubercles. Along midline of back, 30 〜 32 tubercles present. Two protrusions on posterior margin of spiracle. Body uniform pale brown with whitish spots; larger white spots symmetrically arranged on dorsal surface always present.
Distribution:
Reported from Caribbean Sea to Argentina.
Remarks:
R. lentiginosus, closely similar to the present species, has rostral cartilage expanded toward tip, spatulate in form. (Uyeno and Miyake)
