Abra longicallis americana Verrill & Bush, 1898
特 徴：
殻長25mm，殻高14mm，殻幅7mm。殻は薄質，純白。前後に長く，後端は細まっていて左殻の方が右殻より僅かに膨れ，後方右に反る。外面は淡い成長線のほか，きわめて微かな放射溝が走っている。?板は弱く，主歯は2，前後側歯は弱く細い。その間に後腹方へ傾むいた弾帯受があって中に内靱帯を担う。左の外套湾入はいちじるしく深く，中央付近まで達し，腹弧は套痕に沿って後走する。
採集記録：
水深334m（生貝1）。
分 布：
亜寒帯水域から西インド諸島。スリナム沖。
Diagnostic characters：
Length 25 mm, height 14 mm, breadth 7 mm. Shell thin, pure white, elongated antero-posteriorly, attenuated posteriorly. Left valve slightly inflated than right, twisted to the right posteriorly. Surface with faint growth lines and indistinct radial grooves. Hinge plate weak with 2 cardinals and weak lateral teeth among which resilium lies. Pallial sinus of the left deep reaching to the centre, with ventral arch running along the pallial scar.
Distribution：
From Subarctic region down south to the West Indies and Suriname. Slope to bathyal zones.
