Length 73 mm, height 58 mm, breadth 53 mm. Shell solid, inflated, veneroid in shape. Beaks anterior to the middle, prosocline. Margins gently curved except weakly angulated postero-ventral corner to which a blunt ridge runs from umbo. Lunule impressed, escutcheon indistinct. Surface chalky white, with growth lines occasionally stepped, with a thin periostracum. Hinge plate elongate, with 2 cardinal teeth, deeply hollowed sockets. Adductor muscle scar distinct, risen just behind the anterior adductor scar. Pallial sinus slight.
Distribution:
Lesser Antilles and off Suriname. Shelf to bathyal.
Remarks:
This may be a re-discovery of this species since it was collected by the Blake (Dall, 1889).
