Length 65 mm, height 70 mm, breadth 55 mm. Shell thick, solid, oblong. Beaks prominent, inclined internally. Surface with 32─37 wide and scaly radial ribs. Scales hemitubular, rather spine-like in the anterior portion, but stripped off in the central. Ventral margin prominently denticulated. Surface pale yellowish with irregular, transversely elongated, reddish purple blotches. Interior pinkish. Cardinal teeth moderately strong, lateral teeth close to each other. Adductor and pallial scars distinct. Radial ribs slightly bifurcated distally inside.
Distribution:
Puerto Rico, West Indies and off Suriname.
Remarks:
Younger specimens has more straight posterior margin than the grown.
