バハマハネガイ
Ctenoides scabra tenera Sowerby, 1843
特 徴：
殻長40mm，殻高50mm，殻幅18mm。殻は薄く卵円形，左右の膨れ方は弱い。左右等殻で，前後に小さい耳状部があるが，殻体との境は不明瞭，殻頂は僅かに尖る。腹縁は円満な曲線を描きそこに向って低く細かい放射肋が多数走る。放射肋は殻の中央部あたりで2部分に分かれている。放射肋は細かく波打ち，途中から分岐したりするが，表面には非常に細かい鱗状突起がある。また所々成長線によって区切られ不連続になるものもある。殻は白いが，淡褐色の殻皮で覆われている。殻内は光沢がある。?歯はまっすぐで，そこから殻頂にかけて三角形域がある。中央に弾帯がある。左右の殻を合わせると，前部に足糸の出るすき間がある。
採集記録：
水深118m（生貝1）。

サウスカロライナ，フロリダ，テキサスからブラジル。
備 考：
典型的なC. scabra scabraは放射肋がもっと粗く，尾根瓦状。本亜種はずっときゃしゃである。
Diagnostic characters：
Length 40 mm, height 50 mm, breadth 18 mm. Shell thin, oval, equivalve, shallow. Both ears small. Beak slightly erect. Hinge line short but straight. Margins gently curved. Surface with numerous finely scaled, radial ribs that sometimes discontinuous or bifurcate. Surface white with brownish periostracum. Internally white, with ligament in the center of hinge plate. Both valves gaping a little in front.
Distribution：
South Carolina, Florida, Texas and off Suriname. Shelf.
Remarks：
Typical C. scabra scabra has rougher radial ribs in comparison to this delicate subspecies.
