ヌリツヤホトトギスガイ

特 徴：
殻長46mm，殻高24mm，殻幅15mm。殻は長卵円形，薄質でこわれ易い。殻頂は前寄り。背縁は直線的。殻の前端は丸い。腹縁は直線的。後方へ拡がり後端は穏やかな曲線を描く。殻表は白く，成長線以外の彫刻はない。殻皮は淡緑色で極めて光沢の強い殻皮に覆われている。腹縁域などに不規則な黄褐色の斑がある。内面は白銀色で光沢強い。背縁に沿って細い靱帯がある。腹縁から後縁にかけては殻皮がめくれ込んでいる。
採集記録：
水深254─770m（生貝多数）。

各大洋の漸深海〜大深海。
Diagnostic characters：
Length 46 mm, height 24 mm, breadth 15 mm. Shell elongated oval, broadening posteriorly, thin and fragile. Beaks anterior. Both anterior and posterior margins round, and dorsal and ventral margins straight. Surface with shining, pale greenish periostracum with a yellowish brownish blotch near ventral margin. Intererior silvery white. Slender ligament along the dorsal margin.
Distribution：
Cosmopolitan, bathyal to abyssal.
