オキノシラスナガイ（新称）（Pelagic Limopsis）
Limopsis pelagica E. A. Smith, 1885
特 徴：
殻長22mm，殻高19mm，殻幅11mm。殻はやや薄質で，外形丸いがやや斜め。殻頂は小さく，腐触されて背縁から殆ど上に出ない。前縁から腹縁丸く，後腹隅は僅かに張り出し斜め。後縁は直線に近い。殻表は白く，密に殻皮におおわれ，殻皮は成長線に沿って殻皮毛列となっている。靱帯面は狭く，靱帯は三角形。?板には前後に8─10の歯があり，端へ向っていく分外開きのように向う。内面淡黄色味を帯びた白色。腹縁は刻まれない。
採集記録：
水深570m（生貝5）。
分 布：
マサチューセッツ〜ノースカロライナ，スリナム沖。インド洋。漸深海帯〜大深海帯に分布し，最深4,000m台まで。
Diagnostic characters：
Length 22 mm, height 19 mm, breadth 11 mm. Shell rather thin, oval, oblique. Beaks low, eroded, below the hinge line. Anterior and ventral margins gently round with obliquely protruded postero-ventral corner. Ligamental area narrow, triangular. Cardinal teeth 8─10 on both sides of hinge plate. Surface with thick, hairy periostracum. Interior white. Ventral margin smooth.
Distribution：
Massachusetts to North Carolina, off Suriname and Indian Ocean. Bathyal to abyssal (down to 4,000 m).
