Umbraculum umbraculum（Lightfoot, 1786）
特 徴：
殻径37mm×50mm，殻高3mm。殻は楕円板状。殻頂は中央左寄り。白色の成長脈が走るほか，殻皮が放射状に配置し，周縁は殻質を超えてフェルト状の殻皮縁を出す。内面は光沢強く蒼白色，殻頂部分はやヽ凹む。動物体は大きく，足部側面に大きな疣状突起がある。
採集記録：
水深80m（生貝1）。
分 布：
フロリダ，テキサス，カリブ海，バーミューダ，スリナム沖。インド・太平洋。
備 考：
わが国でも潮間帯下の岩礁で採集される。
Diagnostic characters：
Diamater 37mm × 50 mm, height 3 mm. Shell flat, discoidal, with a low apex biased to the left, white with concentric growth lines. Periostracm disposed radially and surpassing the margin forming a felt-like periostracal rim. Interior shining, pale, with a shallow hollow at the position of apex. Animal large, with tuberculate lateral wall of the foot.
Distribution：
Tropical and temperate Indo-Pacific and Atlantic.
