Height 25 mm, breadth 40 mm. Shell low conical, solid, with 4 spiral cords carrying transversely elongated granules, among which the subsutural one strongest. Surface pale brownish, but subsutural granules darkened in every other one. Periphery margined with a smooth rib. Base flat with 4─5 spiral ribs of various strength with widely open umbilicus which margined by strong radial ribs giving a gear-like apperance. Aperture quadrate. Operculum subquadrate with raised growth lines, nucleus at the center with internal knob.
