Height 118 mm, breadth 18 mm. Shell highly turreted, with more than 25 whorls. Each whorl with strong, S-shaped axial ribs cut by two strong spiral grooves especially on the earlier whorls. Surface yellowish, with irregular flames. Aperture semilunar, with a short canal. Columellar lip stepped because of strongly twisted fasciole.
Remarks:
The specimens in the present material somewhat differ from the typical one in having much stronger sculptures and continuous maculations which usually separated into two part in the typical specimens.
