特 徴：
殻高25mm，殻径16mm。螺塔は小さく且つ滑層に半ば埋もれている。体層は大きく，外唇が膨れ，殻口を隙間状に狭ばめている様は恰もタカラガイ類のようである。体層背側は白色をおびた淡肌色で，腹側の外唇及び軸唇を厚く覆う滑層は白く，それが背側にまで及び，滑層の被ってない部分との境に明らかな段がついていて，滑層外縁はやヽ色の濃い肌色となっている。軸唇には強い4軸襞があり，前管溝は深い。蓋を欠く。
分 布：
西インド諸島，ユカタン半島からブラジルにかけて。アフリカ西岸。
Diagnostic characters：
Height 25 mm, breadth 16 mm. Shell ovoidal, flattened dorso-ventrally, with low spire embedded within a thick callus. Body whorl large, with swollen outer lip making aperture slit-like similar to cypraeids. Dorsum whitish pink, margined by white callus that extends ventrally and with fleshy color laterally. Boundary between callus and dorsal surface stepped. Columellar lip with strong 4 folds. Siphonal canal shallow. Operculum absent.
Distribution：
West Indies, Yucatan Peninsula to Brazil, also West Africa.
