Height 10 mm, apertural diamater 18 × 19 mm. Shell thin, low cap-shaped, with apex centrally. Protoconch spiral, brownish, slightly inclined. Surface with wavy radial ribs running from the apex to the margin, and irregular brownish radial stripes of various width and darkness. Interior in similar color, with calcareous cup which fused with the shell at 1/4 of the circumferance.
Distribution:
Nova Scotia down south to Florida and off Suriname.
Remarks:
This species is characterized in having interior cup which is partially fused with shell.
