タンナーテンガイ（新称）（Tanner's keyhole limpet）
Diodora tanneri Verrill, 1883
特 徴：
殻高12mm，殻口長径47mm，殻口短径33mm。殻は低円錐形で笠形。殻頂は中央より僅かに前方寄りに位置し，卵円形の小孔がある。殻口周縁はほゞ楕円形。殻頂から周縁への傾斜はほゞ直線的であるが，前方の傾斜は心もち凹で，後方の傾斜は微かに凸。殻表には殻頂から周縁に走る細いが鋭い放射肋があり，これが同心円状の成長脉と交っている。成長脉は周縁に行くほど強くなり，周縁近くではやゝ布目状になっている。殻表は灰白色，内面も白色で，周縁は刻まれている。
採集記録：
水深368m（死殻1）。
分 布：
デラウエア湾〜バルバドス，スリナム沖。
備 考：
薄質やゝ大型で，斑紋がない点で近似の他種と区別される。Farfante（1943）によると，本種は100〜400fms.から稀にしか採集されないという。
Diagnostic characters：
Height 12 mm, apertural diamaeter 47×33 mm. Shell low conical, apex slightly forward to the centre with a small fossula. Aperture elliptical, slopes from apex to apertural margin slightly concave anteriorly and slightly convex posteriorly. Many radial threads run from apex to margin crossed by concentric growth lirae which become stronger marginally. Surface grayish white. Interior white with crenualted margin.
Distribution：
Delaware to Barbados and off Suriname.
Remarks：
This species is easily discriminated from the allied forms in having thinner and larger shell.
