Mantle cylindrical, flabby, 50 cm in length. Fins sagittate, 3/4〜4/5 as long as the mantle. Arms long with 2 rows of suckers of which horny rings have sharp triangular teeth distally and smooth rim proximally. Tentacle also long with elongated club. Suckers four series, folded laterally and with four groups of 2〜4 teeth on both hemisphere. Other portion covered by small papillae. Mantle covered by pentagonal scales on which pigmentation deposits, but fins lack of both scales and pigments.
Distribution:
Gulf of Mexico, Caribbean Sea and Northeast coast of South America.
Remarks:
P. boschmai has smaller fin (1/2〜1/3 of the mantle length), subequal arms, and 18 sharp teeth on arm sucker rings.
